Pamlico County Home Sales Show Steady Improvement

After being hit hard with the housing bubble and the economic situation that followed, then again by hurricane Irene, we are seeing steadily improving home sales figures here in Pamlico County.  There are many homes available at rather attractive prices and sharp home buyers are taking notice.

 

Lot sales are not yet improving as well as we would like.  It has been a long time since lots were in demand and sellers are understandably getting a bit impatient.  With 343 lots currently on the market and low sales numbers, it could take quite a lot of years for those lots to be sold.  Here is another opportunity for sharp buyers seeking a lot for their vacation or retirement home near the water.

This is the most user-friendly real estate application that I have found.  Believe me, I have tried dozens of them searching for the best one to provide for my clients and customers.  The "Nearby Homes" icon will give you the data on homes near your location at that time.  If searching for homes elsewhere you can type the city and state, or Zip code, in the search box or use the microphone icon to just say it.  A very handy application for those who are driving around different neighborhoods seeking info on the available homes.

• Okay, the long stretch of cool weather had me thinking there was plenty of time, and I didn't order my seeds as quickly as I should have. Anyway, the seeds arrived today. All organic, non-GMO, untreated, open-pollinated, heirloom seeds. Most of these varieties are quick to mature, but it may be a little late to start the tomato and pepper seeds this year. I'm going to start some of them anyway and hope for a long season.

 



This Month in Real Estate - April 2013

• We went into town for the 8 pm Dragon Run in Oriental last night. The crowd seemed to be a bit smaller than usual, but still more than enough people to hinder a photo of the main dragon making its way through town as everyone wanted to touch the dragon for good luck during the coming year. However, I was able to catch this young dragon enjoying the festivities.
